Conceptual product design is my core service. I also manage design projects from beginning to end, initial research to production. I have developed brand strategies, corporate visual identities, industrial production system plans, and even completely new business models. My constantly evolving methods for design allow me to work on dramatically different types of projects while still finding creative solutions for diverse needs.
I am interested in improving people’s lives through design. Many of the professional projects I work on do this in a small way: Improving the aesthetics, user interaction, function, etc. of one particular product. However, I think a lot about the big, paradigm changing technologies which turbo-boost humanity into better circumstances i.e. personal computers, the internet, robotics, etc. My personal projects live in the cross-section of practical design thinking and cutting edge technology. As design moves into the nano-realm, new material properties are opening up exciting new ways to solve problems. Similarly, as computation nears human cognitive capacities, designers have new ways for people to interact with the designed world. I believe that the next 20 years will yield the most exciting opportunities for designers and the most amazingly beneficial products and systems the world has ever seen.
